Human Form Series

My goal in this series was to document what we all have in common: our bodies. I attempted to portray the human form in a revealing, yet non-sexual way. Through the series, I was surprised by the amount of positive feedback I received from my audience. However, I was also disappointed when Instagram removed “contrapposto” for violating their community guidelines. It did not violate any of their community guidelines.

I believe we have a long ways to go before the human body is once again normalized. It fascinates me that something as unnatural as clothing can become so ingrained in the human identity. My hope is that through this series, viewers are more open and welcoming to the human form.
